Chisoxfn
Good to see Bham came back and won. Looks like walks came back to finally bite Cotts in the butt. Right now I got to say Cotts looks like a similar pitcher (Stat Wise) to Kaz Ishii in LA. Gives up a lot of walks, but seems unhittable to the point that if you give up runs, its almost always their own fault. I hope Cotts can improve his control, but he may be one of those guys that just has so much movement its tough, ala Clement and Ishii; although Clement has improved it. Rex Hudler
Cotts threw 81 pitches in 3 innings.
Mathew
Baggs your boy Durham didn't wear the collar tonight. Smallballmanager Wally Backman stranded 13 and won, that don't happen much I bet.
Rex Hudler
Items of note: Shaffer had 3 hits in the same game....... Barons had 23 hits!..... including one or more in every inning..... Durham up to .270......... Hankins led off bottom of 9th with game tying HR....... At one point, Barons had two runs yet had 13 hits along with 2 West Tenn errors....... Barons won game against D Jaxx's DH. With the doubleheader yesterday, they ran out of pitchers........ Barons 12th inning........ (West Tenn DH enters game as pitcher - throws all fastballs) Maldonado walked Alvarez flew out Maldonado gets balked to second DJaxx manager gets tossed arguing balk call Maldonado gets tagged out leading off second on hidden ball trick Aceves walked Shaffer with infield single, Aceves moves up to 2B Durham hits a hot smash to 3B with third baseman making an amazing diving pick..... 3Bman gets up and has plenty of time to make a good throw..... skips it past first baseman and Aceves scores winning run... Game time a painful 4:01 Interesting to say the least....

Rex Hudler
The hidden ball trick? .... Amazing! I didn't think about it at the time, but I wonder if the manager arguing and getting thrown out might not have been part of it? They did it right after that I believe. I'll be honest with you, it caught me and everyone around by surprise. None of us saw it.
YASNY
I would guess that would be the case. In fact, I assumed as much when I read your post of the last inning.
