bschmaranz
AL Manager Of The Year: Ozzie Guillen, Chicago White Sox (who else?) AL Rookie Of The Year: Joe Blanton, Oakland Athletics (could win 20 games on a team that can hit) AL Cy Young: Bartolo Colon, Anaheim Angels (great year, kinda disappointed we didn't get the opportunity to beat him up) AL Most Valuable Player: Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees (his dismal postseason doesn't help warrant a selection for Ortiz, and I'm not against giving the award to a DH, just thought A-Rod had a better year, top 3-4 in every category) AL Exec. Of The Year: Kenny Williams, Chicago White Sox (boo yah) NL Manager Of The Year: Phil Garner, Houston Astros (after a horrible start, they've been one of the hottest teams in baseball and it looks like they're headed towards the series as well, even though that really shouldn't come into play) NL Rookie Of The Year: Ryan Howard, Philadelphia Philles (had a great year, will only get better) NL Cy Young: Dontrelle Willis (it's really a toss-up here, but I think Willis had a better year then Carpenter, but it's a close one) NL Most Valuable Player: Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals (another toss-up, but I thought Pujols had more of a well-rounded season then Andruw) NL Exec. Of The Year: Jim Hendry, Chicago Cubs (boy oh boy, that Burnitz pickup was a stroke of genius) :fthecubs
Balta1701
AL Manager: Ozzie. After the last series of the season it's not even a challenge. AL ROY: Huston Street. AL Cy Young: Bartolo Colon. AL MVP: Ortiz. I simply refuse to call a person valuable when they don't perform when the pressure is on. ARod never does. Ortiz does. All the time. AL Exec of the year: KW. It's even less close than the Manager award. NL Manager: Bobby Cox. If he doesn't win this year...the voters should be replaced with drones trained to vote for him. NL Cy Young: Clemens. The guy simply has had an amazing season, even without getting the proper number of wins. I'd rather vote for Carpenter or Willis, but the season Clemens had is just too incredible. NL ROY: Ryan Howard. Francoeur had great numbers...but Howard's were better. NL MVP: Andruw Jones. I'm still just too much of a fan of winning both the home run and RBI numbers at the same time. NL Exec of the Year: Schuerholtz. Hell, he should win for the next 5.

JoshPR
Albert Pujols STL (any vote for Andrew Jones should be ripped up and burned.. Pujols has dominated him in every offensive catergory besides HR and RBI) Yeah But if Andruw doesn't have that Season the Braves aren't in the post season. Andruw carried the team by himself, Pujols had help from edmonds, Sanders, Walker and Others. It's the most valuble player, not the most productive. Look at 1988 Kirk Gibson was named MVP cause of what he meant to the Dodgers. Darryl Strawberry had the better numbers. As the case was in 1995 when Barry Larkin was named MVP

Balta1701
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) Colon just hasn't had that year that makes your head pop out and say WOW! I mean he had a great year but it's not like Halladay's season. If he had been healthy than he would've won it. No one in the AL really had a year that makes you stand up and say Wow. Buehrle and Contreras both had 1/2 seasons like that...Rivera had a good one, Santana had a good one, but once Halladay went down it was a group of pitchers performing above average but not great. Out of those...I have to say Colon...just because he had a slightly better total season than the others.
