White Sox Josh
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) hahaha Santonio Holmes Are we talking better draft prospect or better season? right now Avant is having a superior season. Don't give me talent give me results.
White Sox Josh
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 07:19 PM) Santanio Holmes is by far the superior reciever between the two. Avant would have to be about the 8th best WR in the '06 draft as of right now. Chad Jackson, Florida Santonio Holmes, Ohio State Derek Hagan, Arizona State Demetrius Williams, Oregon Martin Nance, Miami of Ohio Hank Baskett, New Mexico Travis Wilson I would put those 7 recievers ahead of Avant in terms of NFL quality talent. Not so sure Jackson is entering the draft. The reason being is because he hasn't had that one year that makes you go he is one of the top Wide Receivers in football. He might be this year but i think he needs one more year to be a top ten draft pick. I know he was injured but Nance has had one great year that is it. The only 2 i would really put in front of him right now that are entering the draft are Hagan (he is the best) and Williams. Baskett and Avant are about equal. WHarris1
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 07:23 PM) Don't give me talent give me results. Tell that to someone like Jason White When evaluating a draft prospect you can't go purely on numbers. Give me Santonio any day of the week...twice on Sunday

I still don't see why he wasn't drafted yet the great Matt Cassell was drafted. he was the BACKUP to Matt Leinhart last year.

WilliamTell
I think Avant is a really good receiver but I doubt he'd be a first round pick. 2nd round at best and I'd guess an early 3rd pick as of now. Hopefully he can come on fire, get the ball more and raise his stock.

It's the best catch i've ever seen in person in my life.

RockRaines
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) he is one of the top 5 Wide Receivers coming out of College this year. He is the best Wide Receiver you have never heard of. Michigan wide outs,=waste of a pick

White Sox Josh
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) Michigan wide outs,=waste of a pick because of one wide receiver? Braylon Edwards and Jason Avant are not even close to Terrell. In fact the only thing Terrell has in common with Edwards was they had the same number. That's it. Edwards while he does make some bonehead plays will be a good wide receiver for years to come in the NFL.
