The Critic
I chose Paulie just because those two first-inning homers on the road opened up a comfortable lead and allowed the Sox to play their game. For him to do that on the West Coast, where the Sox had such a bugaboo in recent years, was really huge IMO, and worthy of my MVP vote. But this was truly a team victory, as every Sox win has been this year. Proof that a TEAM will beat a group of individuals, and also proof of that old baseball nugget that "good pitching beats good hitting".....except that the Sox pitching wasn't good, it was PHENOMENAL. iWiN4PreP
2005 white sox. one player = paulie. cant pick against 2 killer homeruns in the first innings of those games, that set the tone for the games.
GoodAsGould
Id say Konerko with those HR's but Crede has to be a close 2nd.... and than the umps not 2 far behind
Balta1701
IF I COULD GIVE IT TO 4 PEOPLE...YOU ALREADY KNOW THEIR NAMES. JOSE MARK JON FREDDY. IF I COULD ONLY GIVE IT TO 2...IT GOES TO KONERKO AND CREDE. IF I CAN ONLY GIVE IT TO 1...IT HAS TO GO TO KONERKO JUST ON THE NUM3ERS. THANK YOU FOR THOSE SWINGS PAULIE. THANK YOU FOR THOSE SWINGS JOE. THANK YOU FOR THOSE ARMS THE REST OF YOU.,
aiko
My 4: Buehrle - Absolutely amazing outing that got the Sox back on track. Uribe - So many great defensive plays that shut down any potential rallys. Konerko - Almost got another tonight. Crede - CLUTCH. This TEAM was amazing though. Even when someone struggled, the team was able to absorb it.
lukeman89
AJP - got on base when we needed him to, and use SOLID fundamentals the whole series crede - game winning hit in game 2, game tying HR in game 5, and the game winning RBI in game 5 too. this guy is a machine. 2 HR, 7 RBI, .368 kong - those 2 big HR's were all we needed in those games. the way i see it, crede got us games 1 and 4, and kong got us 2 and 3. and dont think im leaving out the pitching, it was completley amazing, but i dont think you can give the mvp to a starter with 1 win in the series. Mplssoxfan
This team is truly 25 for 9. A TEAM in every sense of the word. GO SOX!!!!
black jack
MVP positional players in order: 1. AJP he controlled this staff, had some clutch hits, and hustled us to a couple series changing plays. 2. Crede Paulie had the two big early homers, but Joe was f***ing clutch when the team needed it most (three times) not to mention quite a few awesome defensive plays out there. 3. Kong The power and precision earned him a lot of $...the d was tight too. 4. Uribe defense defense defense
greg775
Pauley for the first inning homers and his clutchness. But I agree Mark B's outing was unreal.
Whitewashed in '05
A complete team effort no doubt about it. I want the camera on AJ anytime anything happens because he reflects all of our feelings. The pitching carried us with timely hitting and great defense.
