Queen Prawn
I am wearing my Sox t-shirt, jersey and hat tomorrow. If it is cool enough, the jacket as well!
The Critic
It was announced right after the game - he recieved the trophy right after JR got the AL trophy. Kudos to Paulie, but I'm afraid that all of this is raising his price tag! Good thing his degenerative hip hasn't caused him to retire yet...... We should take up a collection here. I bet we could knock out about a million dollars of it right now. Next week I bet we could knock out $2 million of it. southsider2k5
What a series for Konerko. This was a well deserved MVP for Pauly.

Kalapse
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) Was he the ALDS MVP 2? There is no ALDS MVP.
LosMediasBlancas
I thought his double off the wall in the 9th was gone. That would have been the icing. Mr. Konerko, I will no longer call you 'Palsy'.

SSH2005
The craziest thing is that you could make a huge case for Crede to be the MVP. Who the hell would have ever seen that being possible?
Rowand44
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) The craziest thing is that you could make a huge case for Crede to be the MVP. Who the hell would have ever seen that being possible? The rally crede.

Who the hell would have ever seen that being possible? Anyone who believes in the power of the Rally Crede would have expected Crede to come up huge in the ALCS. bjm676
IMO, it should have been Crede. Won Game 2 with a clutch hit. Tied Game 5 with a clutch HR. Won Game 5 with a clutch hit. There's always the World Series, I guess. In any event, here's to Paulie. Edited October 17, 2005 by robinventura23
The Human Borch
Crede was very clutch all series and I think that the award could have been shared between him and Pauly. Both of them were so huge this series.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) IMO, it should have been Crede. Won Game 2 with a clutch hit. Tied Game 5 with a clutch HR. Won Game 5 with a clutch HR. There's always the World Series, I guess. In any event, here's to Paulie. I think PK and Crede should've been co mvp's. I don't know how you could pick one over the other.
Jordan4life_2007
More support for Crede. This is some of an article by John Donovan from SI.COM. • Love Paul Konerko, the White Sox first baseman, a stand-up guy and a heck of a player. But MVP of the ALCS? Pshaw, I say. Give me third baseman Joe Crede, who hit .368 with two homers, two doubles and seven RBIs in the five games. The guy was almost traded -- OK, GM Kenny Williams said he wasn't, but Crede was clearly being shopped -- yet he continued to play hard and has come up huge this postseason. He's playing a heck of a third base, too.
