kapkomet
It's scary to think that next year's bunch will LIKELY be better then this year. With the deep playoff run, we're going to have more payroll flexibility, and the only pseudo free agent on the pitching staff is Jon Garland - we hold his rights (meaning we can match any other offer) - we'll most likely get another big bat this offseason... WOW. But, for now, let's keep on cheering the 2005 version. It's better that way! Edited October 17, 2005 by kapkomet
Milkman delivers
Add in postseason experience that all of them, minus McCarthy, will have then. That'll make them tougher, I think. I'm sure everyone would agree.

Heads22
I have a feeling Jerry will be generous with the payroll if we do the job.

YASNY
Let's hope that these guys still have that chip on their shoulder next year.
bmags
to be honest...i thought in 2000 we were set to own the division, but its clear that this team is far far different. In 2000, it turns out nearly everyone had a career year...i can't think of any offensive player (perhaps gooch and AJ, though we knew he'd hit more HR in the cell) that would be considered having a career year. Which leads me to think, what if someone on the team, hell, a couple, have career years next year? On pitching, Garland, Politte, and Cotts all had the best years of their lives, but its been building to this for a while. Politte the suprise. Add that to the fact that viz and marte struggled, if they improve...damn...it'll be a race next year but damn do i feel good to be a white sox fan right now... now lets sign paulie...REWARD YOUR OWN ... yeah this is fun. Greg Hibbard
Not to be a downer...but the thing is...other than Frank Thomas we really avoided any kind of major injuries this season, and that's not guaranteed to happen next year or any year down the road. Also, doesn't Contreras' contract come up after 2006? Doesn't Mark's and A-Row's come up after 2007? Even if we resign Konerko I hesitate to say we'll be set for "4-5 more years".
