frahungski
So do you think Ozzie will work to get Carl in the games that we play on the road in the WS? or do we just stick with the outfield as is without him for those games? i hope the pitchers are taking bunting practice
Texsox
Normally I would say there will be pitch hitting opportunities for Carl, but with all the CG being tossed, who knows? But Carl can take his shoes off and rest at the start of the game, Dye should and deserves to be starting every game.
whitesoxgt
Everett Should NOT Play the Outfield!!!!!!!
chisox72
Agreed, there is no good reason that Dye should not be out there. Couple that with Carl being slow and old... Not that I don't like Jurassic Carl, but keep things the way they are and just let him rest when we are on the road.
Rowand44
QUOTE(whitesoxgt @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 09:41 AM) Everett Should NOT Play the Outfield!!!!!!! I honestly have no problem playing the field as he's done just fine out there this year, that being said Jermaine must remain in the lineup so no on carl in nl parks. SS Gload
If dye needs a rest, we could put scotty in right and put carl in left so he doesn't have to run much since its a short porch if we play houston.

YASNY
Carl sits in the NL park. No brainer.
Texsox
QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) Carl sits in the NL park. No brainer. Unless Ozzie has to make a pitching change and needs a pitch batter. Carl would probably be the first bat out of the dugout.

I think Dye is getting all the rest he will need this week. I can't imagine after game 2 any of our guys will be saying "whew...ya know...those two games man...I'm pooped...". knightni
Carl is still struggling, even through this successful run that the Sox are having. He will most likely be an important power bat off the bench for the Sox in the NL park.
Rowand44
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 10:39 AM) Unless Ozzie has to make a pitching change What's that?
mkalk
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) What's that? Really. Do they still change pitchers during games? Or do they save that for in between games?
Balta1701
Carl sits out there unless Dye goes 0-10.
