The White Sox are trying to get Luis Aparicio to throw out the first pitch in Game 1.  I just heard it on the Score.

It was just reported again...

They are trying to get Luis to throw out the first pitch for game one and Carlton Fisk for Game two.

Personally, I think being so close to halloween they should just have a seance and the first player from either 1917 or 1959 to respond gets to throw the first pitch.

Actually, did anybody mention Al Lopez?  I guess those who suggested the entire surviving '59 club sort of did.

At 97 (or whatever age they said he was), he looked pretty spry in Anaheim last week.

Yeah, I'd go with Al for one of these games for sure.

Actually longtime Sox pitching coach(also of the 59' team) Ray Berres is also 97 and is very very alive and well. You could have Al Lopez pitch and Berres be the catcher. That would be something for these guys and fans to remember.
