RockRaines
ummm, I thought I wanted this, but now im not so sure. I think the Cards are the Red Sox and I think we could of beat them easily. BUt Houston looks to be hot right now. JC vs Clemens this needs to set the tone.
39th & Wentworth
I really cannot stand that swarm of bees sound that they play at Houston. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz - SPLAT!
Rowand44
This figures to be a ridiculously low scoring series, so because of this I'm sure we have a high scoring series on our hands.
SoxAce
I'm actually happy for Biggio and Bagwell at least getting a shot in the W.S. Those two deserve it. They aren't getting a ring though

Jordan4life_2007
Astros and White Sox it is. A true champion welcomes whatever challenge is put in front of them. And the Stros will indeed be a challenge. A challenge this White Sox team will meet.
Greg Hibbard
Two players share the birthday May 27th, 1968 Unbelievable coincidence that the other one is Bagwell....
Texsox
DAMN, my two favorite teams playing each other. My loyalties are always with the Sox, but I'd rather be beating up on any other NL team before the Astros.
Wanne
Very happy for the Astros and the city of Houston. I swear...my dad still lives back there....and I have NEVER....EVER heard the excitement in his voice as right now. I may piss my pants before Saturday waiting. Balta1701
Well...if we manage to beat a team with Clemens, Oswalt, and Pettitte, no one will be able to say we didn't earn it.
SnB
the 2005 world series is: The Chicago White Sox vs. The Houston Astros. wow...say that to yourself, it still hasn't sunk in.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) Well...if we manage to beat a team with Clemens, Oswalt, and Pettitte, no one will be able to say we didn't earn it. That's gonna be almost as tough as beating a team with Contreras, Buehrle, Garland, and Garcia. I like our chances better.

GoRowand33
playoffs aren't supposed to be easy both teams are very similar Should be a great series I'm looking forward to it GO SOX!
FlaCWS
My only concern is this: Minute Maid is very similar to the Cell, and we've been much better all season when playing on the road in a bigger ballpark. Busch would've been a better fit for us. I still think we are a slightly better team than Houston, but I'm definitely more concerned about them than I would've been about the Cardinals. But hey, that's why they play the games. Bring it on.

Who knows how that park is going to play for us, we'll find out though.

3E8
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 10:30 PM) DAMN, my two favorite teams playing each other. My loyalties are always with the Sox, but I'd rather be beating up on any other NL team before the Astros. Me too. My favorite AL team (obviously) and my favorite NL team both break huge WS droughts in the same season. What are the odds?
Jordan4life_2007
I like the Astros as well. But now? They are my mortal enemies. I don't feel anything towards them with a White Sox World Series title on the line.
