My only concern is this: Minute Maid is very similar to the Cell, and we've been much better all season when playing on the road in a bigger ballpark. Busch would've been a better fit for us.  I still think we are a slightly better team than Houston, but I'm definitely more concerned about them than I would've been about the Cardinals.

But hey, that's why they play the games. Bring it on.

I would think that the short porch in left field would be an advantage for most of our pull-hitters like Konerko, Dye, Rowand, and Crede. But it will suck to have to worry about it everytime our pitchers are on the mound. What a stupid design for a ballpark.

Phil Garner is a tool. And he hates the Sox. I still think he called for Weaver to hit CLee in 2000 that eventually led to the retaliation and brawl.

Guess I'm searching for less stats, more emotion!  :bang

Wow I had totally missed that connection. I wonder if we could see the first bench clearing brawl in World Series history? :P

A few of our hitters faced Clemens and Pettite when they were still in the AL. I'm not sure if any of the Astros have faced our starters. Contreras, Mark, Jon, Freddy, Duque, Big Bad Bobby Jenks, Cotts have not pitched in the NL.

Then again have any of hitters faced Oswalt or Lidge?

Advantage Sox??

Crash Rowand playing that stupid hill in center makes me nervous.

They played an exhibition game there in (iirc) '03 so they have some experience with the field format. Hopefully Aaron remembers.

That park is retarded.

Forget Minute Maid, maaaaan, it's Tropicana for me!

Either way its still the juice bar...two corporately named ballparks facing off in the world series. Is this the first time that has ever happened? And this is completely off the top of my head too...so don't yell at me if I'm blatantly wrong.

2002 World Series: Giants (Pac Bell Park) vs. Angels (Edison Field).

The names of both ballparks have changed.
