SSH2005
He's a f***ing agressive hitter. He got a solid pitch to hit and just didn't hit it. It f***ing happens against good f***ing pitching. You weren't saying it was a bad idea when he crushed the ball on the first pitch of his AB in ths second which setup our first two runs. I really think you have no idea what you are talking about wrt to baseball. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh, I don't think that Scott Podsednik is better than Grady Sizemore. Worry about your own supposed baseball knowledge. I will worry about mine.

fathom
QUOTE(greg775 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:23 AM) We are not playing great baseball in the rain. Can we win the Series against these mfockers? These Stros are pesky. As I said earlier, they have a much better approach at the plate than the Angels did. Berkman has burned us twice so far with an open base. I have a feeling Ozzie will pitch around him from now on.
WilliamTell
I asume the Houston bullpen is coming in. They keep saying they're lights out but I haven't really watched them besides last night. Edited October 24, 2005 by WilliamTell

greg775
The odds of AJ getting a hit against the lefty was not good. Perhaps he thought the first pitch would be meat. Either way we were hosed. Looks like we are in our longball or nothing phase again.

jphat007
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) Jphat....you, me, SSH, and many others on this site have different viewpoints. I don't think it's right to start telling people they have no clue when it comes to baseball. I'm still looking for you and SSH yelling at AJ for swinging at the first pitch in the second inning. funny enough I can't find him. ANd nowhere did I ever say Pods was a better player than Sizemore. As we have said numerous times, he is a better leadoff hitter, which he is. You can search every thread on it and you won't find it.
Frankensteiner
We can talk about some poor ABs by our guys, but this loss should really go on Buehrle. Any game where a team has to score 5 runs off Pettitte and the Astros bullpen is going to be a tough one.

SSH2005
And you need to worry about it quite a bit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I guess I do. greg775
Lets face it, this rain game is a matter of who survives the elements better. I thought it'd be Da Bears, I mean Da Sox, but it's not so far.
