Greg Hibbard
He's just not as funny sober. Sad but true. A ton of long pauses and awkward interplay make up that radio show. At least it did from 99-01 when I was last tuned in

LosMediasBlancas
Did anyone see Blago on one of the pre game shows from the Cell? I can't remember which station it was on, but they were trying to get him to put on a Sox cap. He said something like: "No, I'm a Cub fan and to do something like that would be one of those crummy things that politicians do all the time". C'mon dude, you're already AT the game. Kid Gleason
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 09:23 AM) I missed the magic with Meier. Those were some great shows in the late 70s. They were great shows up until Meier went wacky and left in the early 90's. The Loop was once the best form on entertainment. I miss Johnny B. so damn much it isn't funny. The day he threw out the 1st pitch he was on T.V. being interviewed and you could see the Sox hat he had wasn't a brand new one, but rather one that was well worn, something that would have taken years of being a fan to do. That whole thing made me so angry. Hey Jackass, a lot of us would give our right arm for those tickets, so sit down and shut the hell up. If it's so crummy give the tix to someone who actually cares. Middle Buffalo
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 08:50 AM) I miss Johnny B. so damn much it isn't funny. If he were to come back, with Buzz...man, I would be THRILLED! He was on in California until just recently. I went to Disneyland this summer, and I was looking forward to listening to him on the drive to the park every morning. About a week before I went, the station switched to that Jack format. If I ever meet Jack, one of us is going to end up sharing a cell with Cumswalla. Re: Dahl. You get used to the pauses. It takes some time, but there is some quality talk there - even if it's not always funny. Ususally it's interesting and unique. This from a former Dahl agnostic. I found him post-Heavy Fuel Crew - pre-MJH.
Antonio Osuna
Obama's legit. Blaggo is, imo, a terrible governor, and I can't wait to vote him out of office, but I respect him for sticking to his ballclub and to his "I wouldn't wear a Sox cap even if they made it to the World Series" comment. Better a Cub fan than a "Chicago" fan.
southsider2k5
I was just going to post this. Excellent article. Everyone of those assholes is taking a seat that could be occupied by someone who has followed this team with every ounce of their being, vs someone who just wants their 5 second on Fox, so the world doesn't forget that they exsist.
