Juan Uribe

Lost in all of the plaudits that have been going Joe Crede and Paul Konerko's way, has been Juan Uribe's impact in the #9 hole.

He had a strong finish to the season, and he's carried on with that momentum throughout the playoffs. Even though last night wasn't the best for him at all with those 2 errors in the field, he's got splits of .316/.395/.526 and that was after a 1 for 6 performance last night. And with a 6/5 K/BB ratio, that patience at the plate is really paying off.

I wasn't a very big fan of his when he booted that grounder, though....and then he did that "downward snap" thing with his glove on the popup.....

But he has had a pretty solid postseason, and he is about a 17,000% upgrade over the last starting SS. Anyone miss JosE6 now??

He has been incredibly patient at the plate for the past month and a half, but you can tell he is getting away from his timing leg kick. he is starting to become susceptible to the low and outside breaking balls again.

Fortunately there arent enough games left in the season for him to go into a prolonged slump ;)

uribe, just like every other player on the entire roster, has come through in the clutch. this season is just meant to be. i wish we could keep every player we have this year for next year.

There's really no reason why we couldn't. Except of course Frank coming off the DL and giving us 26 guys. But honestly, we don't want to keep them all...Everett can be allowed to walk away, for example.
