Steff
That the Marlins lead MLB with 64 steals?!?! The next closest team (I can't remember who it is) has only like 33..??? Disclaimer.. I might be a few off on the numbers - but I'm positive it was 60 something to 30 something.

Sox1422
I think Pierre has like 17 and Encarnacion has 9 or 10. The Sox could use a base stealing threat (that can actually get on base) like that.

Winning Ugly
Encarnacion has less then Derrick Freakin Lee for crying out loud. Lee has 11, Encarnacion, 10.
CubKilla
Stolen base is a lost art in today's game. Because almost every team (see: White Sox) swings for the fences now-a-days When he isn't hitting into DP's, I'd like to see Magglio start to steal some bases again. Maggs has the ability to become a 40-40 guy.
Guest wsc425
Thats why we needed to keep Lofton, who only made 1 million last year. KW is a dumb s***.
mreye
Stolen base is a lost art in today's game. So true. I think the steal is very exciting.
clujer420
So true. I think the steal is very exciting. Watching us steal and watching us throw out others while trying to steal are 2 of my favorite things to see the Sox do. Willie needs to work on his bunting during BP. He should never hit a ball in the air in BP -- all he should do is bunt and slap the ball the other way. He's not a very good hitter, and his only real attribute that he's displayed in the majors is speed. Hitting flyballs and popups is not going to utilize his speed. As Hawk says, "speed kills", and swinging is killing Willie's average.
mreye
The hit and run, to me, is more exciting than a 3 run homer!
YASNY
Dumping Lofton was a good move. He was not doing anything for us at that point, with his hamstring problems.
cwsox
Dumping Lofton was a good move. He was not doing anything for us at that point, with his hamstring problems. Right on, my friend. I don't understand any longing for Lofton. He has a few good weeks and that was it.
witesoxfan
Thats why we needed to keep Lofton, who only made 1 million last year. KW is a dumb s***. Lofton killed the team last year. He hit like .150 in June. If your leadoff hitter hits .150, you aren't going to be good. I'm very glad that asshole is gone. I was happy as hell to see him make the last out in the World Series. I was jumping all around the house in glee. I'm now glad to see him on a team that will suck.
