Then I realized they were all going to get the Sox World Championship gear that went on sale immediately after the last out. It was as close to "home" as the UC can get. After Freddy got that K with the bases loaded, the place was rocking. Me and my Dad left a few minutes after the game because we heading down to Halsted and eventually Bridgeport, screaming "World Championssss" and waving our Sox flag. Unreal. Downed a few shots with some fellow White Sox fans, celebrated like it was 1917 ran around like a fool in the rain outside. All in all a great night. They did a really great job of bringing the game atmosphere to the UC. Granted, it felt like a game in early May against the Royals as there was only a few thousand there. My favorite beer vendors were Frank (at the stand under Fundmentals) and Bob (ponytailed guy in left field bleachers).
