SnB
Anybody get anything new? What's good? What's not? I really don't buy that many, but i'm bored with the ones I have now. Normally, I'd buy a college basketball one around this time, but game companies put absolutely 0 effort into those. Hockey? Basketball? Anything else? Rowand44
What about that new blitz game?? Looks absolutely awesome, haven't had a chance to play it yet though.
whitesoxin'
I've went back to Madden 04 recently. I just love playing it. That and MVP 2005 are the only two games I ever play.
DBAHO
QUOTE(Spiff @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) tony hawk's new one is really good. I hear it was like Underground 1, but you couldn't create your own skater and it didn't have the charm of the older games which made em so good........ but anyways; Metal Gear Solid 4 Trailer - Not out yet of course, but spend 8 mins of your life watching this great video. Definitely worth it. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/662/662646p1.html Gun - Made by Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto, cowboy style. Also comes out next month. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/gun/news...0&mode=previews The Movies - Definitely recommend this, comes out November 8. Get to make your own movies, and has heaps of cool features like putting in your own voice for the actors etc. http://pc.ign.com/objects/482/482108.html Civilization IV - 9.4 on Gamespot tells me all I need to know. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/civili...oniv/index.html GTA Liberty City Stories - Only on PSP, but well worth it if you have the system. http://www.gamespot.com/psp/action/gtalibe...ries/index.html Black and White 2 - You're a god, pretty cool game. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/blackw...and%20white%202 The Warriors - Actually meant to be really good as a beat em up type of game. Since it's made by Rockstar, I'll believe it. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/thewarriors/index.html Resident Evil 4 - Finally just came out on PS2. Meant to be one of the best console games ever, up there with GTA and Halo apparently. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/adventure/resi...vil4/index.html
nitetrain8601
I still only play MVP Baseball 2005. I improved the White Sox pitching as well and damn. I just dominate everyone who comes in my way.

Buehrle>Wood
SnB, what do you have? I'd reccomend Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube. It's one of the best games ever made made and only 30 or 40 bucks. They also just recently made a watered down port of it to PS2. If you're looking for a sports game, I'd get Mario Baseball. Obviously not a very realistic sim, but a very fun game nonetheless.
nitetrain8601
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) It sucks SOOOOO BAD NOW. Sox are going to be #1 in all the games, and no MVP this year. :banghead :banghead :banghead That's exactly what I was thinking. And I'm pretty sure either Paul Konerko or Mark Buehrle would've made the cover too. Now there is only MLB2K, right? I'll get it regardless if there is a White Sox member on the cover. nitetrain8601
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) Vlad is on the cover. Boooooooo. That bum was injured for a large portion. I'd say David Ortiz was more deserving.

Palehosefan
NBA2k6 is a very good game in my opinion. I haven't been a big fan of the games of the past because drafting people really sucked. But this year its really improved. Now you can scout the guys, and even play as them in practices or have them go 1 on 1, 2 on 2, or 5 on 5 against players on your team. I'm enjoying it alot. SleepyWhiteSox
2K series has been rated higher than Live in every video game magazine for the past few years, for whatever that's worth.
DBAHO
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) Yeah, what is NBA Live 2006 like? I've heard the franchise mode is actually good, being able to trade individual players and hire coaches now.

Palehosefan
I've also definitely heard much better reviews about 2K6 than Live. I would suggest 2K6 also, its a fun game. I'll even give a secret out. Instead of signing your young players to max deals, let them go to free agency, advance on the calendar to just before preseason games start, and check the free agency again, most of the time they will be left looking for just 5 mill a year. You can sign them for 5 years at 5 mill a year instead of 12-14 mill a year for 5 years. You can even sign an extra player if you don't have salary cap left for the 5 million dollar exception. SoxFan1
I'm not a big an of live. The features are cool and the soundtracks are usually f***ing awesome but the players look like they are skating, not running.
