IndySoxFan
this guy looked good at the end of last year.... but so far he has been all hype..... i am still backing jerry manuel.... but why in the f*** isn't tony g. getting more games in at third? my only knock against graff is he can't bunt to save his life... but no one on this team can... YASNY
Every body expecdts these young guys to come up and just tear it up. It takes time. They have to learn how to deal with ML pitching, and just living the life of a big league ball player. It's an adjustment. Look at Corey Patterson... he sucked big time for two years, but now his talent is coming through. Albert Pujols types don't come along very often. IndySoxFan
ok... granted, it takes time.... no arguement here.....but this team needs wins now....not in the future....how long do you play this guy EVERY day.... graff is the better third baseman right now... he needs to play more
Chisoxfn
Mainly because Graff has proven when he's an everyday player his numbers take a big time dive. He isn't a starter, he's a hell of a utility player. In regards to Crede, if your blaming your prospect that doesn't even have a full year under his belt, then the team has a lot more concerns then just him. Crede is in a bit over his head right now, but he isn't the problem. He wouldn't even be noticed right now if the other guys were playing up. Lets not forget that it was Crede who helped carry the team early in the season.
YASNY
The only way Crede is ever going to develop, is to get the at bats and playing time he needs. It's part of it, with young players.
IndySoxFan
but wouldn't a little pressure help... graff pushing him may speed development
YASNY
but wouldn't a little pressure help... graff pushing him may speed development You don't think he's under pressure right now? Look at Robin Ventura. He went 0 for his firts 41 at bats when he came up. They stuck with him, and he developed into a hell of a ballplayer. IndySoxFan
my rage at this team has made me weary..... to think the soft hitting third baseman is the problem with this team is naive of me....i am sorry i brought it up.... i just need something to focus on... Hell it's not like any of the other guys are being a good influence to him. The veterans have to step it up. Speaking of that it's time for Garland to stop being a pussy and take his game to the next level. He HAS to step up. CWSOX45

whitesox247
Leave Crede out there and he will be fine. Hes still hitting around .230, thats not that bad for a guy thats been in a season-long slump. THe sox need to show confidence in their players, the same with Buerhle.

southsider2k5
Crede will be fine , MB that is another story in itself Crede is still playing excellent defense, which makes his play a little more palatable.
witesoxfan
Crede will be fine , MB that is another story in itself Blame this all on Buehrle, yet don't even bother mentioning Garland. Atleast Buehrle has an ERA under 5.00. That is something Garland can't say.

southsider2k5
umm the good players come up and hit right away my brotha. See Hank Blalock. Umm try again Blalock was annointed last year and hit terrible last year. He had to be sent back down to OK City. He didn't hit right away, he hit .211 in about 50 games over two stints last year. It took him to his second year. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/stat...ts?statsId=6871

The fact is, Blalock adjusted and Crede didnt. That tells you Blalock doesnt suck and Crede probably does. When i said right away i meant within their first full season. Neither player has reached that level yet. Blalock is pounding the ball and Crede looks like a high schooler at the plate.
