There is no excuse for sweetney to not be starting. Even more so than deng imo. Deng gets to shot crazy with a bad selection at times. Sweetney on the other hand always seems to take good shots and is always in good position for the rebound.

It pisses me off to see what he goes with. Why dig a hole to start the game off? There's nothing wrong with building a lead instead of draining your players physically and mentally by having to come back from deficits to try to pull out close wins every night.

Bulls starting lineup should be:

Duhon

Hinrich

Deng

Sweetney

Chandler

IMO, that is a good starting lineup. Maybe a toss-up between Sweetney/Songaila.

It's so damn obvious. I don't get skiles' logic at all.

pike starting??? With Duhon hurt, there's no excuse for not starting Ben too.

I agree with you. Sweetney's offense is awesome. I think he could average a double double if he was a starter. I think Skiles may be afraid of him fouling out by halftime if he starts though. :bang

Ben is an asset on offense but liability on defense. I am sorry but he is not ready to start just yet.

He looked good defensively the first game... really good. The last three games? The last three games he has looked stupid again... and often.

Exactly. Once he gets consistently effective defensively then he has to be in the lineup. He looks lost on D sometimes. SG's can take him most of the time...and easily.

With duhon out, he is very ready to start.

Ben>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>pike

I can't stand not scoring in the 1st quarter.

Ben is a 4th quarter scorer. I'm willing to say that probably half (or maybe more) of his points have been scored in the 4th quarter...and I dont have a problem with that. Oh, and I was assuming Duhon is healthy with that lineup.

Healthy Duhon:

CD

Captain Kirk

Deng

Sweets

Tyson

Unhealthy Duhon:

Captain Kirk (guarding SG)

Ben (guarding PG)

Deng

Sweets

Tyson

I have a problem with gordon just scoring in the fourth. Do you know how bad he was in the first three quarters last year? If he could make some shots consistently earlier on we wouldn't have to rely on his ''clutch'' shots. He was almost always going into the fourth shooting 2-8... 3-11.

Actually Skiles said the Nets game was Gordon's best overall game... so im guessing he defended pretty well in that game too.

He defense was nothing great.. made alot of bad decisions. Anyway it's most likely because he shot well early on... six rebounds... four assists... and only one turnover in 31 minutes.

The worst game for him defensively was the spurs game though. There isn't a player on that team he can defend...and do it well.

Sweets will NEVER start with the way he plays defense, but man he's BY FAR our best offensive threat in the post, so he needs to play and get the ball more.

If eddy curry started i don't see why sweetney can't/won't.
