witesoxfan
Is that when a player starts struggling, they should be sent down to the minors, or should be benched, or is on the latter half of his career and his talent is decreasing, or he should be shot in the head, or something like that. People....GIVE THESE GUYS A f***ING BREAK.....I'm so f***ing sick and tired of seeing "Trade Buehrle" or "Trade Garland"(though if it were to improve the team, I wouldn't be against that one) or "Let's have a fire-sale." Has anyone checked their calender recently? Because the last time I checked, it's May. The baseball regular season is 6 months long, and it starts in late March/early April, and continues on till late September/early October. That means that we still have 4 1/2 months left. Do you realize how many games that is? I do. It is 121 games. A lot of s*** can and will happen in 121 games. Let's wait and see what does in fact happen. I am tired of underachieving....but I want to wait for a little bit to consider this season a disappointment. We were 38-35 before the All-Star break in 1983...and we ended up with 99 wins. Just a little reminder of the s*** that can happen

witesoxfan
This 03 staff is not a pimple on 83 teams ASS. NOT COMPARABLE AT ALL Bulls***. That pitching staff had 2 aces....as does this one. That staff had a solid #3(Floyd Bannister, from Pierre, SD )....as does this one in Loaiza. That staff also had solid back end...and this one will be solid as well. This team has a better bullpen, and a better offense. I just think we need a faster leadoff hitter....but, IMO, we really don't even need that. We just can't depend on the 3-run homer. The difference between the two pitching staffs is the fact that the 83 staff had some strikeout pitchers and the 03 staff does not. That, IMO, is the main difference. Soxplosion
If a player does as poorly as Buehrle has, he should be punished. Unless hes like Aaron Rowand, it should only be to the bench, but it should be a punishment none the less. If Buehrle does poorly next time, skip him. Give him an extra day of rest. Hes thinking about St Louie, I just know it. But my point is, I dont care who you are, you better play well and hustle your butt off or you aint startin... cwsox
This 03 staff is not a pimple on 83 teams ASS. NOT COMPARABLE AT ALL a pimple on an ass has never had a good season in major league history - and actually, who would want to watch it? I have found that showering with soap and washing all of myself eliminates butt pimples. Cleanliness is so important!

So why do you single out Buehrle and not realize the fact that Garland has been much, much s***tier than Buehrle? Give Buehrle a f***ing break....jeezus f***ing christ. How about you start b****ing out Koch about how he f***ed up in April? Why not b**** out the lineup for not coming back and scoring after Buehrle gave up the 3-run dinger? Also cdub....shoulda thanked you before....but forgot to. So thanks

I sure as hell hope you are NOT calling a 2-7 pitcher with a 4.96 era a ACE. Loaiza is a journeyman who at any time can go to his normal 5.80 era after April for his career. Bullpen , what the hell are you watching this team bullpen is in disaray and already has blown 6 saves. Team is hitting .250 and they are better, May is almost over for christ sake's. I love every year people say well in 83 we were .500 , what about ALL the years we started like s*** and finished like s***, there have been a HELL of alot more years like that than in 83, it is 20 years ago people let it go. 83 team would hammer this sorry bunch of gutless players

Just a little reminder of the s*** that can happen Preach it If a player does as poorly as Buehrle has, he should be punished. If a player f***s up a simple popup or makes lazy plays, true, he should be benched. But when a player has proven himself in the past and is just in a little slump, you stick with him. If every player would be benched when they're in a slump, no one would be playing. JM needs to stick with his players and trust them to do their job. Unless you are the Yankees, Braves, or A's....that is an ace. Loaiza could revert to that form....but he could also continue to pitch well for a while. I'm looking at the talent in the bullpen, not at the stats. Marte has been good, Glover has been good, and Wunsch has been very good(just as I thought in the offseason), and Gordon has been sharp all year, and if Tuesday's game against the Orioles was any sign of what we'll see from Koch in the future....then he has obviously turned it around too. I'll just leave it at that.
Guest hotsoxchick1
well then bench the whole f***in lot of them.. they are all underachieving......anyone whos not hitting over .300 by now and whos not won at least 9 games pitching needs to sit his lazy ass down or pack up his s*** and head back to the minors.................geez us people.. see how stupid that sounds........lets get real here for a minute, cause this is what bugs me...... no one except for loz in the pitching staff is doing s***......and quite frankly no one except for (this pains me so to say too...) jimenez is doing anything with a bat.. hes just barley over .300 at a stellar .301.......no one else is even there yet..........so put blame on the whole team cause they all suck at the current moment... dont single out just one or two ok...............thanks....
