Frank the Tank 35
Hmm, so that means the Yankees have $133 million invested in 11 players for next year so far. Let's see, add a Brian Giles at at least $10, a BJ Ryan for $7-8, and maybe a Tom Gordon (or similar RP thereof) for $5-7 = $156. Man do I wanna hurl. They dropped the big salaries of Kevin Brown and Bernie this offseason. They're looking to drop Posada. Sheff's contract could be over after next season as well as Randy's. I shudder to think of the $$ they're gonna spend next offseason. Derek and Carlos Lee in pinstripes...
Punch and Judy Garland
IMO, Posada is unmoveable with his contract (short of them paying part of it which would make no sense). Plus, the Yanks traded away Navarro who could have been a long term answer. Maybe they could hoodwink the Mets into taking him but you'd have to think theyend up with one of the FA guys
Yoda
Not bad for Matsui but definitely not good for us. I just don’t see Pauly coming back. I love the guy and seeing him back in the Southside will be the biggest signing of the off season for us. But its been real quiet lately and it just seems like Konerko won’t be back.
