Mercy!
When will our President have the courage to say, "Enough! This "tradition" ended with my predecessor." What possible upside can there be for an elected official to have his photograph taken with a turkey? More at: http://www.whitehouse.gov/holiday/thanksgiving/photoessay/ Edit: Is that a waitress or a nurse at the ready next to President Truman? Edited November 22, 2005 by Mercy! Mercy!
Well, sometimes the turkey is family and it can't be helped. . . Funny observation and great pic! You know, all of Jimmy’s three siblings were characters in one way or another (or at one time or another). What a cross to bear in public for a politician! I just took a trip down memory lane and read a little about them. I didn’t realize that they all died of pancreatic cancer. I always thought his mother, Miss Lillian, led a full and interesting life.
