Texsox
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) Meh, that was Moodys part 2. It was such a product of its time, way to slick, IMO. If that was the concert they did at Poplar with The Fixx then I was there too. Come to think of it, that could have been the night of my first cop and feel. . . LowerCaseRepublican
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) That would be the song you copped your first feel to. I have no boob song, as the girl from my first cop-and-feel was eerily quiet while I, er. . . , worked my teenage magic. No FZ quote on this topic, Flaxx?! If not, I gotta represent... "I detest 'love lyrics'. I think one of the causes of bad mental health in the United States is that people have been raised on 'love lyrics'. You're a young kid and you hear all those 'love lyrics', right? Your parents aren't telling you the truth about love and you can't really learn about it in school. You're getting the bulk of your behavior norms mapped out for you in the lyrics to some dumb f***ing love song. It's a subconscious training that creates a desire for an imaginary situation which will never exist for you. People who buy into that mythology go through life feeling that they got cheated out of something."

Rex Kickass
Songs I think are really about love even though they may not be that I love. "Me and Josie on a Saturday Night" Zita Swoon "Just One More Day" Otis Redding - more raw emotion than Tenderness for sure. "Grow Old Along With Me" John Lennon "Tender" Blur featuring the London Gospel Choir "Something About Us" Daft Punk

Rex Kickass
QUOTE(dasox24 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) That's such a great song. I actually heard it this weekend for the 1st time in a while, and was glad to hear it b/c I kinda forgot about it. The first two Oasis albums were absolutely brilliant. Before they got all coked up and full of themselves. I LOVED Definitely Maybe - it is one of the best rock albums of the 90s with songs like Columbia and Shakermaker and Live Forever. They blatantly ripped off the Beatles and whatever other song they were hearing at the time and really made it their own. I think Coke actually sued Oasis because they ripped off the "I Want To Buy The World a Coke" song in "Shakermaker." Saw Oasis at the Vic February 95, first US tour. There was no encore.
