Rowand44
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 25, 2005 -> 07:18 PM) How do you figure that we lost speed? Thome is supposedly our DH. Were Everett and Frank that much faster than him? Also, Anderson is supposed to be faster than Rowand. He's much faster.
Kyyle23
Rowand looked like he had been crying all day at his news conference. He even sounded like he got a little misty when asked about his time in Chicago.
bulokis
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 25, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) Rowand looked like he had been crying all day at his news conference. He even sounded like he got a little misty when asked about his time in Chicago. That's what I thought about when I saw the press conference. Probably hard saying goodbye to the other stooges and the rest of the team. Poor Rowand, he really loves it here.
nitetrain8601
QUOTE(bulokis @ Nov 25, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) That's what I thought about when I saw the press conference. Probably hard saying goodbye to the other stooges and the rest of the team. Poor Rowand, he really loves it here. Ah screw it. Let's trade for him back. Let's give up the farm. AngelasDaddy0427
I remember Miguel Olivo... He was in tears literally when he found out... I think it says alot for the organization when we get players who love the organization this much...

LDF
i too was never that much of a fan of rowand, or i should say that i was a willing person to trade him. i will say this, he has grown so much as player these last 2 yrs, that i will follow him and his career and hope for the best for him. that said, i am thinking that we might have given up too much with out a decent return. i know what everyone opinions are on thome, but in mind, his health is a concern for me. even tho i know he is rehabbing ahead of schedule. i would have love to see the sox hold onto gio. now lets get paulie sign and that will be a great way for me to forget about losing gio. Best of Luck to Rowand
