I did, but I didn't start until about 9--late enough for the crazies to be gone, but early enough to avoid the hugest crowds.

All of my Christmas shopping save for my best friend is done. And I think we're just getting each other a spa day, so that's kinda done.

Black Friday is the closest I get to the thrill of the hunt. I love it and wouldn't miss it for the world. Plus, I got some *awesome* deals.

I have the #$%#$^ flu... so I've been pretty much doing nothing but sleeping.  This sucks.

Did you at least get to eat Thanksgiving dinner? I didn't. I have strep throat. I can't swallow anything unless it's tea. I have to garggle salt water. It sucks big time. So much food, but I can't eat any of it. I also can't go to Ed Debevich's tonight.

Umm, I feel ignorant here........

What is Black Friday?

It's the day retailers get into the black for the year. Many retail stores are losing money YTD, and need a busy Christmas season to turn a profit for the year.

I had to go to work today. Personally, I would have liked to go to Best Buy and start my Christmas shopping. Oh well. I’m pretty sure there will be more specials in no time. That’s how it always is. Once everyone is out of money, prices go down.

Wow, I havent been to that place in ages.

Yeah, it's a yearly tradition for me and a couple of friends from high school. Oh well, I never liked that place anyway for trying to make me serve other peoples' drinks and not get paid for it. Then again, it would be the ideal place for me to work at. I could be mean to people and have them do my job and get paid for it.

Even if I wasn't fighting the tail end of the flu, no way I would be in those crowds. I am not looking forward to Christmas shopping this year in the least. I am, however, already baking and trying a few recipes for the Christmas Eve meal I will be making as well as getting the decorating in gear.

Oh joy, just found out Brain does have to work tonight (11PM start).

Where I work its called Green Friday.

The not turning a profit the rest of the year doesn't apply.

It's crazy. I had intended to go out on that day. But my Mom came into town, and I decided to stay in and do family stuff. I had all intention of doing a ton of shopping this weekend. Now here I am on Sunday afternoon, and I haven't set foot outside of my house since Wednesday evening!!! :D

In other words, I have had a PERFECT 4 days break from work.
