Do you think last season's trouble trying to find someone to pull the trigger on a deal may change his philosophy a little? Obviously he wanted something more significant and was unable to do so, on the other hand he did win a World's championship. It would be interesting to see if it does have an effect on how he operates this season.

I don't think it will. I mean he's still going to go after deals before everyone else usually does because that's always been his philosophy. I'm pretty sure this is our team though on Opening Day.

People just think of the 3-4-5..

DYE

Paulie

Thome..

Can anyother team be able to match that?

hmm i love the lineup and all but arod/sheff/matsui is still better...we are still a defensive/pitching team

thome certainly should help tho but its not like we will have #1 offense

Okay point taken then we are 2nd in baseball in that department..

Does anyone think Paulie could hit 50 with Thome back there?

65/5? We overpaid. No way is Konerko worth $13 million a year, objectively.

But with the money bins that medicore relief pitchers arae building today, in the context of the inflated FA market this year we may have actually underpaid.

My god. What an assbag.

Great move...now if they want to find a CF go for it. Otherwise I'm quite happy with this team. The only thing I could see is moving El Duque and picking up a different reliever (just due to the salary of Duque). This way the Sox could have some flexibility around the trade deadline.

I knew Paulie would come back and 5/60 is more than fair for both sides.
