That funky motion Posted December 10, 2005 Share Posted December 10, 2005 White Sox selected infielder Tim Hummel from the Cardinals in the Triple-A phase of the Rule 5 draft. Hummel is returning to his original organization. A pretty good prospect a few years ago, Hummel just never really progressed after age 24. He's 27 now and unlikely to have a career as a utilityman. The only reason I can see that Arizona left him unprotected is because they are glutton with infielders.
