Balta1701
This is supposedly posted @ ESPN.com somewhere but I can't get the link to work...the Orioles have signed former Padre catcher Ramon Hernandez to a 4 year deal worth $27.25 million. Great deal if the guy can stay healthy. Gigantic if. Lopez will presumably move to DH most of the time.
Balta1701
Here is the official link, now that it's working. The Baltimore Orioles and catcher Ramon Hernandez reached a preliminary agreement on a $27.25 million, four-year contract. Hernandez hit .290 with 12 home runs and 58 RBI with the San Diego Padres in 2005. The Orioles' 2005 catcher Javy Lopez hit .278 with 15 home runs and 59 RBI. The deal is subject to a physical and probably won't be finalized until next week.

YASNY
Hernandez handles pitchers well and should help their pitching staff. Javy may get some pt at 1B.
