wilmot825
Why does everyone suggest the Sox sign a pitcher? They should use wat they got in the minors. THOUHGTS?
BigSqwert
That is a solid argument.
DBAHO
So you're suggesting the use of Jeff Bajenaru and Arnie Munoz I presume. Personally, I think we could bring in a couple of vets on minor league deals, and let em battle em out with the likes of Baj in spring training. But if it's a veteran, it's got to be a lefty, otherwise the spot goes to Baj who's earned it.

Flash Tizzle
Well, you see--our minor league pitching isn't very dependable. Obviously you don't remember 2003's 5th starter debacle. McCarthy will likely be a fixture in our rotation, then after him, who knows? Might be another 5 years until a servicable pitcher arises from the minors. aboz56
Here is how I see our pitching situation for next season: Rotation: 1) Buehrle 2) Contreras 3) Garcia 4) Garland 5) McCarthy Bullpen: Hernandez (Long Relief) Vizcaino (Middle Innings/Mop Up Duty) Politte (Setup) Cotts (Setup) Hermanson (Setup, if healthy) Jenks (Closer) If Hermy is unable to go, you look at either Bajenaru or Munoz as possible replacements for him. You would see that person shifted to mopup, with Viz becoming a 7th inning guy and not a mopup man.

Punch and Judy Garland
QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) Didn't we learn that Munoz is not a major league pitcher? I don't think we learned that. We may have learned that he isn't a starter but how much do you learn off one horrid start. I think he could still be a LOOGY, and better than Kevin Walker at that
White Sox Josh
QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) Didn't we learn that Munoz is not a major league pitcher? no but he had a very good september in 2004 when he got the call up and pitched out the bullpen. You can't judge a guy off of one start. He was put in an awful position.

White Sox Josh
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) Marte had a good June of 2004. Marte had a Bad 2004 compared to his 2003 season and a horid 2005. Also it is sort of what you expect. I expected a much better season from Marte in 2004 and he was mediocre. Still pretty good compared to the rest of baseball but I was losing faith in him by August of 2004.
