I really don't think Tejada will go anywhere.

Ramon Hernandez sais he talked with Miguel Tejada a couple of days ago and the shortstop doesn't wish to be traded.

Tejada has expressed the same sentiment to Melvin Mora and to a Comcast SportsNet television reporter. However, he hasn't told the Orioles and neither have his agents. In fact, his representatives confirmed to the Orioles on Saturday that he wished to be dealt. If he's changed his mind since then, he might want to consider letting Mike Flanagan know.

As I said in the other thread, I will be riding the Fire Hendry BandWGN if the Sox slip in and get Miggy

Bad enough the Sox trade their very worst starter and get one that's better, but if they get Tejada I am going to punch something (preferably a White Sox fan when they rub it in my face).

If the Sox get Tejada, you will see my sig line change to call for the firing of teh entire Cubs front office.

I was totally against Garland and Uribe for Tejada when it was first suggested. Now, with the addition of Vasquez, i'm all for it. Make it happen, Kenny!

The same feeling that came over me when I saw Jessica Simpson in the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie for the first time is the same feeling that came over me at the thought of this potential line-up. Damn, it really hot over here all of a sudden.

I want a reason to buy a Sox jersey with a name other than "Thomas" on the back... maybe some other name that starts with a "T", you know, for continuity sake...

Yeah, I want a Thome jersey too. On the other hand, you can pull and Sox version of an Ichiro and just put "TIMO".

I heard that :

Garland, Uribe, 3 (?) prospects

for

miggy.

its supposely over around chicago news? anyone hear anything like this featuring 3 prospects? or?

We have very few good prospects left so I doubt it will be for 3 prospects

Not sure of its authenticity, but I got this from an Angels message board. And if this is true, pour the potential Tejada-for-Garland-and-Uribe trade down the drain. No way I will do the trade if indeed the Orioles want both of our arms and legs for Tejada.

Per Insider:

"Dec 15 - The Baltimore Sun, citing industry sources, says Miguel Tejada's representatives have not backed down from the shortstop's trade request. But the Orioles, having met with Tejada's agents on Wednesday, remain confident that he'll remain with the team.

Baltimore would have to be completely overwhelmed to deal Tejada, the newspaper reports. The Red Sox reportedly offered outfielder Manny Ramirez for Tejada, but they were informed that it would take more than that to complete the deal. Boston rejected a counterproposal that included Ramirez and two pitchers. The O's reportedly aren't interested in dealing for prospects."

yeah, this seems legit, it has been what a lot of the scuttle has been in this situation. The O's don't want to trade him and are only going to do it if they are overwhelmed, ie the Cubs would have to give up Prior or Zambrano, so IMO if this happens with the Sox it's going to be more than Garland and Uribe.
