Chisoxfn
If you notice, you'll see we've made changes to the Swapmeet, renamed Trade Winds (to Sox Trade Winds) making its sole purpose White Sox trade rumors/suggestions and have moved Around the Horn (and renamed it "The Diamond Club") into a subforum as well. This forum is for everything Non-White Sox including all MLB rumors that aren't related to the White Sox. We also have taken a minute to create a new political subforum of SL&P which will be specifically for those that love to rip and yell and basically be all gung ho about one party or issue. Hopefully you all enjoy these changes. It should keep Sox stuff amongst Sox stuff and the generic stuff with itself. I also think this will decrease the amount of double posting, but I'd also like to remind people to check before they make a post. If they are going to post a trade suggestion or rumor, please put it in the Sox Trade Winds forum. If your going to post about a player signing with the Cubs, please put it in the Diamond Club. If you have an article talking about how Ozzie is going to use Juan Uribe in the lineup, please put that in Pale Hose Talk. Anyway just want to also take this time to thank everyone that is a part of this community. We got a great site and its been one hell of a year. I think being a part of Soxtalk made the World Series run even more special and that definately wouldn't have happened without all of the members. Just want to wish you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.
YASNY
Sharing this past season with Soxtalkers has made it a much more enjoyable experience. Instead of being stuck on my own little "White Sox island" here in western KY, I was able to share the ups and downs of the season, and the exhilarating joy of the WS victory with other rabid Sox fans. On a side note. I walked into the local Best Buy this morning wearing my Sox Championship hoodie to look at some TV's. The salesman came over, of course, and started talking about TV's until he saw the sweatshirt. He pointed at it and said, "Can you believe that?" He told me he is a lifelong Sox fan who grew up on the southside. He said that his grandfather lived in a house located where 3rd base at the Cell now is. We talked about "it" finally happening and all the offseason moves made so far. It was a rare, for me, and enjoyable experience. Happy holidays to all. I don't remember there being houses there. Am I wrong? I remember a bar (McCuddy's?), but can't picture houses. I miss the search function. Is it coming back? kevin57
An end-of-a-great year idea for thread/poll, admins.: how about voting for best and worst posters of the year? and other such categories. The awards could be fun.
