RME JICO
I thought this tidbt was interesting: The Sox are expected to receive permission from Major League Baseball to allow Thome to report with the pitchers and catchers for spring training. Thome is recovering from elbow and lower back injuries. So we will get to see how Thome is doing in terms of recovery a lot sooner, which is great news. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines If this was already posted, Mods please delete. AnthraxFan93
I love it.. Thome willing to come in early to bust his ass to get back onto the field.. Thome could own the SouthSide by All-Star Break!

GoSox05
Yes! I think he will make a great Pitcher, maybe as our 7th starter.
RME JICO
I really believe he is out to prove all the skeptics wrong and have a huge year. He has to be licking his chomps just by thinking about hitting bombs out of the Cell.

CanOfCorn
How about a big hand for Craig Landis...Thome's agent and also, Konerko's agent. With Thome we get Konerko...with Konerko we get Thome. Ahhhh, I love agents.

Baines3
I like the thoughts of Jim Thome reporting with pitchers and catchers. The sounds like a real team player to me. The thoughts of 35 plus homeruns from Thome sounds great to me!

The more time he spends with Greg Walker, the worse off he is IMHO.

He'll try to assist him. That's all.

RME JICO
Not all hitters get a chance to do this, so Thome is going to be able to knock some of the rust off before the regular season and come out cranking from Day One. No hitting coach is going to tell a future hall of famer how to swing the bat. He'll try to assist him. That's all. Walker has touched everyone's swing so they become dead pull-hitters. I think that's a major reason why A-Row's production went down last year.

I doubt his decline offensively had much to do with Walker.

Last year he was which is a main reason why most of our guys couldn't hit a slider low and away if you gave them a 50 foot bat. He also tried to get Arow to hit for more power which backfired.
