SSH2005
http://www.stltoday.com/blogs/sports-bird-...pivey-deciding/ Moving on the eve of the Christmas weekend to address the vacancies in their infield and outfield, the Cardinals signed outfielder Juan Encarnacion and second baseman Junior Spivey. Spivey elected to take the Cardinals one-year contract over an offer with slightly more money from the Colorado Rockies. Spivey, an Oklahoma native, grew up a Cardinals fan and it’s like his chance to start at second was better with the Cardinals than the Rockies, who sought him for a utility role. As first reported on Bernie Miklasz’s radio show Friday morning, Encarnacion agreed to a three-yeat contract worth $15 million. Spivey, as reported in this morning’s Post-Dispatch, was choosing last night between one-year offers from the Rockies and Cardinals. The Cardinals are believed to have paid around $1.2 million for Spivey. Look for the Rockies to sign Willie Harris now.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
The Cards are quietly having a solid offseason. I see another division title in their future.

Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 03:48 PM) Pujols. Normally a sentence has a subject AND a verb, but I will presume that you are suggesting that Pujols is the key to which I will a agree. Dude, did you see that bomb against Lidge? Pujols is now officially both a noun and a verb. All at once. You can't be just a noun and hit a ball like that. Perhaps you can even complete a doctorate on this theory Dr. Balta.
