Pauly8509CWS
QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 10:28 AM) Hey if Anderson is a stud, I will stand corrected and look like an ass Plan on looking like an ass then...
VAfan
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 07:03 AM) We are going to laugh at threads like this after seeing how good Brian Anderson is. What is your objective evidence that Brian Anderson is going to be good? Certainly not his September stats: 34 ABs, 12 Ks, no BBs. AAA? AA? This guy could become a decent player, but I haven't seen anything exceptional in his minor league career that would lead me to believe that he's going to make us forget Aaron Rowand anytime soon. (And Rowand is hardly an offensive star.) What am I missing? Show me the evidence please.
Heads22
Have you actually seen any of his minor league career? As far as forgetting about Aaron Rowand, we should have a solid defensive centerfielder that knows how to strikeout. Brian's pretty much stood out at every stop. Heads22
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) We could always put Jerry Owens in CF And we could rest Dye and put Borchard in right and have an outfield that Mr. SS2k could get a triple on..... Inside the park homer, easy... you forget my all-confrence track speed.

You still have to get the ball out of the infield, so I wouldn't be worrying about you anytime soon....

I think there's a damn good chance BA could put up numbers similar to these: .270/.326/.407/.736 13 HR, 69 RBI, 77 R, 116 K But with probably more power. We're talking about a guy who put up: .295/.360/.469/.829 16 HR, 57 RBI, 71 R, 115 K, 448 AB in AAA last year.
