Steff
QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 12:36 PM) Steff is definitely correct. This is a fact. Not only that, but they did a pre-sale for us to buy extras and that's where most of the ones that were declined went. The Bears should have made an announcement about that. southsideirish
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) Wow, there's a first time for everything <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a new year. What can you do?

The Bears should have made an announcement about that. Now you are correct. The Bears wouldnt make announcement about that just like the Sox would never make an announcement stating how few tickets were going to be available to the public with their Season Ticket playoff ticket "Guarantee", pretty much the same principals, scalping the legal way. Its good business for the organizations, but not for the fans. A good majority of season ticket holders will buy extras if given the chance soley to make profit and pay for the rest of the season.... scalpers still win in the end. I was correct the first time, dolt. Where do you think the extra tickets came from? The pre-sale was last minute. And it was for CURRENT SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ONLY. What they choose to do with the tickets is their business, but they, me, as a season ticket holder did, and should, get first chance at extras. If some asshole ticket holders want to sell them to brokers that's NOT the Bears fault.

Soxbadger
I was shocked people kept telling me they were going to get Bears playoff tickets. I honestly didnt even wake up to try, because if the White Sox sold out, then you know the Bears with only 1 game and a much bigger fan base are going to sell out. I was suprised they even had tickets for sale really, Bears have no problems filling up. SB

They easily could have sold all they had to those on the list (paid and non-paid to be fair, IMO).
Steff
Oh the irony... a scalper friend just called Jim and offered him $4K for EACH of our tickets... :rolly

Where does the extra tickets come from you ask?? Last time I checked, Soldier is not filled to capacity with season ticket holders, furthermore it was not a "last second" thing as you claim, we secured "our extras" a week and half ago. But then again, I'm wrong because you said the Bears handed the tickets out to the NFL sponsors blah blah blah. Who said it was the Bear's fault?? I think its smart move, it just contradicts the whole "we are trying to eliminate scalpers" joke. I know you feel like its your job to show up anybody and everybody you can on this board, but just because someone doenst agree with you or has***god forbid*** different information, makes them a "dolt"??? LOl Rough holidays??

LOl Rough holidays?? Yes, dolt, because we're not supposed to use idiot anymore. And classy...? Me..? Umm.. you new here? Your right it's not filled with ST holders.. the seats that are not ST holders went to the Bears, NFL, and sponsors. The 3800 or so that were to be offered to the public were from ST holders NOT buying. Yesterday's sale was last minute. They were not going to do another and let the 2K go to TM, but so many whiner complaints screwed those who were going to try via ticketmaster today. I didn't say you said anything about anything being the Bears fault.. you have a reading comprehension issue...? My comment was generic, to clear things up. I'm not showing anyone up. I'm a season ticket holder so I do know a bit about what they asked from us and where our tickets were going if we chose not to use them. Rough holiday's, not at all. Fabulous as a matter of fact. Thanks for your concern.
