Come Back #4!!!

Recommended Posts

The thread designed to support Brett and plea for his return...

I was pretty confident after yesterday's game that I would be able to see #4 play one more professional season. He can't want to go out like that. I know Brett doesn't have anything to prove, but, if he is able to get his injured players back, gel with some free agent signings, and rally the troops like only Brett Favre can, I think he is primed for a much more successful 2006-2007 campaign.

Although I'm a Bears fan through and through, I've always had a special place in my heart for both Brett and the Packers. As a quarterback in both grade school and high school football, Brett was always my favorite player and will go down as my favorite player of all time. Those able to watch Brett strap it on week-in-and-week-out are truly blessed. He was just the best and I know I don't have to justify that. He is truly one of the best players of his era. I'll miss him like hell if he goes, but, after Sherman's firing, I'm left guessing.

Come back Brett. One more year. Come back.

I just want this drama to be over. Im sick of the season-long guessing game and everyone trying to gloss over his current numbers by talking about the old days. Yeah, he had a bad line, and lost his wide recievers and running backs. But the guy threw about 29 interceptions, and against the Bears in particular it wasnt the lack of line, WRs, or RBs. It was the constant deep ball chucking and ill advised throws that he used to be able to get away with.

I dont want to hear morons like Madden and Bill Maas talk about him like he is the best thing since sliced bread while he is making these bad plays. I understand the guy was f***ing phenomenal, but these guys are paid to talk about what they see, not what they saw 5-10 years ago.

Its time Brett walked away. the Green Bay packers decided that they didnt want to pony up the money every year and win a championship, and Brett is going to have to recognize that and walk away while his legs still work.

Ask Evander Holyfield what its like to stick around waiting to go out on top. You just end up getting further away from the top the longer you stay. I think the only way that BRett should come back is if they trade up for Reggie Bush and try to sign TO and roll the dice playing for one shot at it all

I would rather not see Favre crippled behind the an NFL Europe O-line in its second season.  Willie Mays hung around too long. Rickey Henderson hung around too long.  Marino hung around too long.  Favre hung around one year too long. Don't make it two years.

Marino won a playoff game in his last year.

I think Brett knows that if he sticks it out another year, the Packers could very well screw him over and not address their problems on the line again. Brett knows that there is only so much more of this...

...that he can take. And the Bears defense isnt going anywhere for quite some time.

You can censor this then.

There will be a huge party in chicago when Favre retires.  he has ruined our seasons for years, and I will be glad when he is done.

No, I censored you calling him a homo.
