DBAHO
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 11:21 AM) if Vince stays in college lol and Houstan is the worse team again they could get both Vince and Bush. Just think right now, you're Gary Kubiak (the guy most likely to be the next head coach of the Texans). Put yourself in his shoes. Would you rather Young or Bush? Looking at the Broncos over the years, I'd have to say Young, and that's no disrespect to Bush at all.
White Sox Josh
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 8, 2006 -> 12:26 AM) And I'll ask again, how much money will the Texans be paying those 2 if they keep em both, and will using Bush that way be beneficial to the Texans if they are going to pay him like a #1 pick? They were pretty high on the Salary Cap this season as well, IIRC. Why not just draft an offensive lineman. I mean they have a good RB. With the first pick??? They could trade for linemen, or at least trade the pick to get something of value.

If they were smart they'd trade down to get a couple OL's in the first round.

I'd trade the pick for as many draft picks as they can get. I'd probably do the same. However, if they could find a team thats picking high that wants the #1 pick where they could gain a couple picks and move down to say 4 or 5 and still draft D'Brickshaw, well than thats what I'd do. It was clear to me that the Texans problems stemmed 1st and foremost from a terrible offensive line. D'Brickshaw would be a big time move to help solve the problem. The guy is a STUD. It's been a problem for them every year and for some reason, they cannot fix it. I don't know if it's been injuries or just some poor management, but it's about as clear as possible that they need an O-line first and foremost. Well when they first came to be they got that one stud guy from the Jags who was apposed to anchor the line.... but than he could never come back from injuries so that kind of screwed them... and than they have just been using draft picks on other positions.. QB, WR, CB... If I had a build a team from scratch id start on the O-Line and the D-Line... they dont get as much hype as the other positions but in my opinion they are the most important part. Ya, Boselli not being able to get healthy really hurt him. Man was Boselli the freaking man too. One of the best OT's I've ever seen, but injuries cut his career short. One of the best OT's I've ever seen, but injuries cut his career short. IIRC, Boselli and Ryan Young were the 1st 2 picks for the Texans in the Expansion Draft. They took Young, because if they didn't, they wouldn't select Aaron Glenn or Marcus Coleman from the Jets, and they were having MAJOR cap issues. Young had a lot of talent too, but knee injuries shot his career down. Bill Parcells signed him to try and fix our problems at RT, but he just never got healthy again, which was a shame, because he had a lot of talent.
