The Critic
I was listening to the postgame of the Bears game last Sunday on AM 1000, and the mongoloids on that station started talking about Emmitt Smith breaking Payton's record. One of them said something to the effect of, "I think Emmitt deserves a big pat on the back". The giant hick tard McMichael then pipes up with this "gem": "I'd only pat his back to find the soft spot to stick the knife in! Nobody should break Walter's record!" Can you believe this inbred, retarded, s***-headed pitiful fat greasy hillbilly f***wipe? Who the f*** makes the decision to put a microphone in front of this drunken mumbly asshole? Guest hotsoxchick1
actually if you think about it... and the way he probably meant it.. its a compliment to walter.... you know how expressive those drunken hillbillys are when they are being sentimental.... their hearts in the right place they just dont have the intellect to express it correctly........im sure he meant to say something along the lines of .. i hate to see anyone break walters record....... Chisoxfn
Ya its a complimenet, but aren't records made to be broken. That would be like Roger Maris's family going out and saying they want to kill Mcgwire and not let him earn the record. Fact is Smith is a great running back, I don't think he's better then Walter, but he earned that record.
Guest hotsoxchick1
oh im not doubting smiths abilities here jason... records are made and then broken all the time... its just part of the game........and as much as i hate to see anyone break walters record (espically since hes no longer around to make a comeback)... its probably a hard thing for an ex teamate to watch(espically considering the circumstances)... he could have used a bit more class when expressing his feelings on the subject though......... Chisoxfn
I wish Sanders would of kept playing cause it would of been intersting watching Emmit and Barry near the record. Barry was obviously ahead by a good distance, but you never know what could of happened.
doubleM23
If Barry didn't retire when he did, he could have realistically eclipsed 20,000 by now. He was awesome. But yeah, McMicheal is such a stupid jackass, I can't see how anyone takes him seriously. Emmitt deserved to break the record for now... Someone will come along and break it eventually. All records fall.
BridgeportHeather
If Walter had even half the O-line blocking for him that Emmitt did for nearly a decade (see the 90s), Sweetness would have eclipsed that 20,000 yard plateau!

Chisoxfn
Barry was great, but Emitt has what Barry doesn't have and thats Super Bowl Rings.

Well, it is easier to win Super Bowls when you're surrounded by Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin instead of Gary Majewski (I think he QBed for the Lions at one point) and Johnnie Morton. Chisoxfn
Thats not the same Gary Majewski we have is it?
