Britt

James

Wilkins

:o

Don't forget Hagans, one of the best players from Wisky, Morgan out of Ohio. I think the chance to get Britt is why a few days ago the kid from Miami changed his commitment to UCF. This WR class is one of the best incoming in the nation. Hopefully Juice and these WR's get a chance to play right away and take their lumps early on, they could be scary in a couple years.

Yeah I was gonna mention Hagans and Morgan at the end. Slipped my mind drooling about Britt, James, and Wilkins.

4 star DB Chris Duvalt from Florida and 4 star OL Ramone Johnson of Morgan Park both have Illinois in their top 2 as well, and 3 star DB Vontae Davis of Maryland is still a possibility. Hopefully we can land at least 1 of those guys.....I think Ray Ray is going to end up in Knoxville, but hopefully I'm wrong and/or we can land Duvalt or Davis as another DB, Lord knows we need them.

Either Duvalt or Vontae would be huge...any secondary help would be awesome.

Are these guys coming in for the upcoming season or the season after?

Not sure if this has been posted, but Michigan gets a commit from 5-star offensive lineman Stephen Schilling Thursday. Scout.com rates him as the 3rd best OL in the country and Rivals.com rates him as the 2nd best offensive guard in the country. After losing out on Sam Young, this is a great grab for the Wolverines!

Schilling is Michigan's 5th 5-Star commitment this year, the 2nd 5-Star offensive lineman.

Vontae has cut his list to 2 schools. I'm not sure who they are, but I do know one of them is Illinois, and the other isn't Maryland. Plus, the same people who said Ray Ray was going to Tennessee are saying Illinois has Vontae on lockdown. Hopefully we get Vontae to reach 29, and then we get that "mystery guy" I was asking for to get to 30, which I think is the maximum we can have.

EDIT: Vontae is down to Illinois and Michigan State. I guess he wants to play in the Big Ten.

Top player in D.C. down to two

With just a few days to go before Signing Day, the top player in the District of Columbia has cut his list of favorites in half to two schools. Who is Washington (D.C.) Dunbar cornerback Vontae Davis considering and when does he plan to make an announcement?

"I'm down to Michigan State and Illinois," the three-star prospect said. "I'm planning to make my decision on Signing Day. I've been leaning toward the Big Ten a little more because of the atmosphere in that conference, and I really can see myself playing there and accomplishing a lot."

Free info from Rivals. I really hope we get this guy, I'm surprised he eliminated Maryland, as he is related (brother I think, but I know for sure he's related to) Vernon Davis, Maryland TE and soon to be 1st round pick.

However, I must say that I assume that if Britt switches to Rutgers, it is due to the fact he would qualify there, but not at U of I.

i don't know. rutgers is very, very strong academically. equal to or better than ui (and considering i hold a ui degree that is not easy to say).

of course, a lot of times it isn't so much the overall academic situation at a school as it is the amount of "at-risk" kids a program can take in a given year.

this is part of the reason cumberland ended up at illinois over osu. osu was at its limit of at-risk kids, so cumberland committed to ui, which is a better academic school.
