When Frank was hurt in 2001 he played and hit 18 dongs in around 300 at bats. If Liefer goes to another club and gets 600 at bats he may hit 35 homers. No Joke. And if Thomas is not back next year, why not give Liefer the 600 at bats at DH for the 2003 Sox. Look what happen when the Sox gave Konerko a chance. Made the Reds and Dodgers look foolish to let Paulie go. I do believe Liefer strikes out alot but he could put up these numbers if given 600 at bats next season .265, 34, dare i say 100 rbi?????? I'd say he's gone. He just hasn't shown he can handle playing part time. Of course if Frank is gone, then Liefer will see more time and will be here.
