DukeNukeEm
No.. Texas' OL didnt dominate the packages.. the dominated Rucker (whatever his name is... he sounds like the Panthers DE Rucker.. so I call him Rucker) and Lawrence Jackson and when you have Blalock and Scott like they do.. I expect it. Carroll blitzed him, Young threaded coverage.. or ran. Carroll doesnt blitz him.. Young sits FLAT FOOTED (never happens with mobile QB's) and find his guy downfield. DukeNukeEm
Can you tell me why you have Terrence Whitehead over Maurice Drew? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I HATE downgrading a RB due to size, but I have to with Drew. I think he has all the talent in the world.. but hes tiny. He wieghs less than most CB's. Some websites have him listed at 200+... he isnt. If he can punch out that wieght at the combine he'll fly up the boards for me. The shorter the RB the better IMO. Palehosefan
I rate him so high because he has amazing athletic ability, while limited coaching at the CB position, he has alot of potential at the position. Meanwhile, he can step in automatically and challenge for a Pro-Bowl return man spot. I wouldn't be suprised to see him tried out at WR though either. With who's players? Butch Davis'. The luck stops here, the LSU game is a sign of things to come. Coker saved his job by canning half his staff, but next year its him on the chopping block. He's got Kyle Wright (who will always be developing) and Tyrone Moss (I'll give them credit on him, hes a very talented Football player... who has no knee left), but Orien Harris and Devin Hester have all the talent in the world yet look like chickens with thier heads cut off. Why is that? Coker.

Palehosefan
The problem with Miami right now is that their fans are used to USC type dominance that they had 4-5 years ago. The last two years have been solid but haven't resulted in an ACC championship, and the fans are getting restless. It seems both FSU and Miami are in neutral right now as a program, both still get very good players and have good seasons. But neither up to the standards they have seen in the recent past. However, both teams should be very solid again next year and have a shot for the BCS, which is all any sane fanbase should ask for. This years Miami class is definitely down by their standards, for example, their latest commit, is a 3 star #79 RB from Tennessee with these vitals, 5'10 183 running only a 4.5 40, that would have been an emergency recruit from years past, not one they accepted in January with other recruits still in play. Come on now, Coker did that back in '01 and has gotten consistently worse since. I hope they keep him, I hate Miami. I never said he should never be fired but it seems pretty unfair to judge him on being able to coach players when he hasn't exactly been coaching his own players for an extensive period of time. If anything the book is still out until he gets a more extended chance at coaching his own recruits without having his accomplishments dismissed because it's Davis' players. It's stupid to say he should never be fired. But it's hard to say a guy can't coach when he won a National Title, no matter whose players they were.
