mreye
QUOTE(vandy125 @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 09:38 AM) I would have to say that Jon Stewart is more typical of what people in the article would be watching than most of the names that have been brought up here. Exactly! Jon Stewart is exactly what the article is about.
Cknolls
QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 08:31 AM) The liberal media at MSNBC covered the Alito hearings and their analysis consisted of Pat Buchanan and a bunch of former RNC hacks. There wasn't a single democrat represented in their four hour coverage of the Alito hearings on Monday. But yeah, liberal media I guess. Nobody watches MSNBC. How about the Today show. They had Begala and Carville ( DNC hacks) on this morning. Does that count?

Cknolls
QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 08:48 AM) Chris Matthews carries water for whoever can help him. He's not a liberal or conservative. He's just an opportunist. And bats*** crazy to boot. You are kidding, right? The guy wrote speeches for Carter.
Rex Kickass
QUOTE(Cknolls @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 11:46 AM) You are kidding, right? The guy wrote speeches for Carter. He also helped out at Abramoff fundraisers and admitted to voting for Bush. And is a regular contributor to NBC News. Personally, I'm under the impression that network news and newspapers aren't so much biased as just lazy. And that they matter less and less every day because the people that use them are dying. Quickly.
Balta1701
QUOTE(Cknolls @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 08:37 AM) Nobody watches MSNBC. How about the Today show. They had Begala and Carville ( DNC hacks) on this morning. Does that count? The day before that, the only guest Today featured talking about Alito was Fred Thompson (Retired Republican Senator.) Balta1701
QUOTE(Cknolls @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 08:46 AM) You are kidding, right? The guy wrote speeches for Carter. Chris Matthews is so far to the left that he somehow unseated Bill O'Reilly for Media Matters's "Serial Misinformer of the year" award. Such gems as: "Everybody sort of likes the president, except for the real whack-jobs ..." "Sometimes it glimmers with this man, our president, that kind of sunny nobility." Certainly helped. YASNY
The article talks about the vast differences between the audience of "conservative media" vs. the mainstream media of the networks and newspapers. We are still talking about cable news and various specific instances on the Today show. Either the point is totally being missed or totally being ignored. Cknolls
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 10:58 AM) The day before that, the only guest Today featured talking about Alito was Fred Thompson (Retired Republican Senator.) But you forgot to mention that Matt Lauer called Alito an ultra conservative. With hosts like Couric and Lauer, the Today Show has two liberals on screen all the time.
