According to WhiteSox.com Sox season ticket sales have surpassed 20,000 tickets sold per game. They are no longer selling full or partial season ticket plans with post season ticket priveleges attached. Sorry for not having a link, I dont know how to do that.

Chicago White Sox season tickets near sellout

CHICAGO -- Because of unprecedented demand for Chicago White Sox season tickets following the club's World Series Championship in October, full and partial season ticket inventory with postseason options is sold out for the 2006 season. Any full season ticket plan purchased after January 15 and any partial (13 and 27-game) plan purchased after January 9 will not have options for postseason tickets.

For the first time in club history, the season ticket base will surpass 20,000 in 2006. Full and partial season tickets without postseason options will continue to be sold. A limited number of leased suites with postseason options still are available.

A waiting list for White Sox season tickets with postseason options has been created. Fans who purchase full season tickets with no postseason options will be accommodated prior to those on the waiting list.

Fans wishing to purchase full (81 game) or partial season (13 or 27-game) ticket packages without postseason options or wanting to add their names to the waiting list may contact the White Sox sales department at (312) 674-1000 or visit whitesox.com.

"Surpassing 20,000 season tickets is a tremendous milestone for the Chicago White Sox," said vice president of marketing Brooks Boyer. "Obviously, we knew based on the team's success in 2005 that fans would be prepared to buy season tickets, in order to secure the chance to buy postseason tickets, in 2006. The support of our fans has been overwhelming, and it allows us the resources to continue to improve our on-field product."

Tickets for groups of 20 or more are on sale now. Individual-game tickets to 2006 White Sox home games at U.S. Cellular Field, originally scheduled to go on sale January 27, will go on sale Friday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. online at whitesox.com, through Ticketmaster phone lines at (312) 559-1212 and (866) SOX-GAME and at Chicagoland Ticketmaster outlets.

Good grief. I would be pissssssstttt off if I spent $15K and had no post season options...

Isn't that the truth. I wonder how many full season tickets they can sell with no post season. Whoever the person is who can sell them ought to get a huge bonus. Does anyone know if the ticket reps work on salary or if they get commission for every account they open?

Does anyone know what 20,000 season ticket holders means? Is it that 20K seats have been sold for every game or does it mean that 20K people have committed to some sort of package? I am curious what this equates to in guaranteed attendance. I am also a little surprised the Sox were willing to guarantee postseason tickets to anyone other than full season ticket purchasers.

Sounds like everyone who is in already is fine right? Now you know coming in that you don't have post season tickets if you buy a plan, so it is out there in the open. Sounds like the Sox are making sure to avoid the PR disaster of having people unknowingly not end up with tickets.

Brooks is hoping for 3 million in attendance. That would be awesome to see the ballpark filled up everyday!!!.

Oh yea.. everyone who's in already is good. I know a few folks who are pondering full seasons and they want them bad. Not just for the post season.. but that would suck not to even have the option anymore.

And to answer your question Bill, from what I heard 2 weeks ago they are just over 20K sold for every game. :cheers

Im very happy the white sox are selling so many tickets, its great for the organization; although I did enjoy the convenience of US Cellular when it was much less packed (and being able to get good seats)

But more fans=more fun and more $

I feel the same. I can just imagine me at 70 telling kids at the park,I remember when you could get a ticket, and sit wherever you wanted. :violin
