RME JICO Posted January 19, 2006 Share Posted January 19, 2006 I got a kick out of this one: Catcher Josh Paul filed the lowest request, $750,000, and Tampa Bay made him the lowest offer, $475,000, a raise of just $25,000. You made $450,000 last year as a backup catcher who doesn't apply tags on close calls (see ALCS), you ask for $750,000, and your new team gives you an offer of $475,000. Man you must feel like a hot commodity. Widger got $500,000.
