Very much like Carrottop, it coincided with him becoming an extremely unfunny comedian. Although it is debatable that carrottop was ever a funny comedian. Piscopo used to be great though. Back in his early years through Sat Night Live, Piscopo was really funny. Then in the 80's, he decided he was going to do a bunch of bad movies which involved him being a ninja or some sort of fighting guy in every one of the movies. Thats when it got bad.
