Real Men of Genius

Recommended Posts

I apologize if this is already on the board. I rarely like these Cub jokes but this is a good one:

Miller Lite presents Real Men of Genius:

Today, we salute you, Mr. Cub Fan Bandwagon Jumper White Sox fan. As you drive south like a nervous wreck doen the Dan Ryan in the Mercedes that your parents bought for you, you wonder, "Will the South Side Faithful accept me and my sweater-vest and Old Style- drinking ways?"

You arrive at the ball park only to realize that "Hey, there's no Ronnie-Woo-Woo here, but only countless look-alikes selling shirts that saay, "Cubs Suck", and Cuck Da Fubs."

But this doesn't offend you!!

Why?

Because now you're a Sox fan, damnit, and to prove it you put on your newly purchased White Sox cap, only to be ridiculed by a real Sox fan, who says to his buddies,"Wow, look at that douchebag."

So crack open an ice cold Lite oh Fairest of the Fairweather Fairies, because if it's the Blue Jays that make the playoffs next year, you might have to carry around a new pet bird like the little b**** that you are...

maybe its just me, but i dont have a huge problem with bandwagoners. I mean everyone likes sold out stadiums and a large fan base so this increase in fans has to come from somewhere. Hopefully these bandwagoners have kids who then become true Sox fans. i think all that is important is that people knew you were a true fan before the sox won it all.

I agree. It is not so much that I love to wait for beer and bladder relief at a packed ballpark, but I welcome the extra revenue to pay the players. However, I will draw the line at opponent's home runs being thrown back on the field of play. If we can keep that from catching on, I will refrain from mocking the bandwagon.

Point the "fan" out to security. A few escorts out of the ballpark should eliminate that stuff.
