mreye
I heard something about this that I never knew. They said the Red Sea is 70-75 degrees year round, which is good for any survivors. I thought that was interesting.

southsider2k5
Hopefully this isn't politics, but Eygpt declined Israels offer of aiding in search and rescue http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid...icle%2FShowFull
FlaSoxxJim
Wow. Doesn't sound good for survivors regardless of how warm the water is. If it went down around midnight local time most of the passengers were in quarters and they never would have had a chance to get out when it capsized. I have such a hard time internalizing mass casualty events when they run into the hundreds or thousands. To think of the ripple effect and the thousands of lives instantly devastated by such events is something that I can't begin to really comprehend.
