Pacheco (5-0) allowed two runs and eight hits, striking out five and walking a pair, in 6 2/3 innings to win his second consecutive start. Chad Durham snapped a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning when he scored on a wild pitch and singled home a run in the seventh for Birmingham, which improved to 6-4 on its current road trip. Gabe Alvarez homered in the second inning and Danny Sandoval tied the score at 2-2 in the sixth with a sacrifice fly for the Barons. Royce Ring struck out one in the ninth for his 12th save. Jon Knott had an RBI single in the first inning and Rico Washington lifted a sacrifice fly in the fifth for Mobile, which lost for the fifth time in its last seven.
