I've seen a random box come up twice since I've had it...probably a year or so by now...and the first time it did it, it asked me which profile I wanted to use. I thought I chose the right one, but apparently I didn't...or something... Anyways, it popped up again yesterday, and me, being dumb, wanted to see if the other profile still was in tact. It was, but now I have lost like all the bookmarks and links I had on the other profile. If it means anything...and I'm sure it does...I am still on the ancient Windows 98. Any help would be awesome. Leonard Zelig Posted February 7, 2006 Share Posted February 7, 2006 I've had that happen before. You may have more than 1 instance of Firefox running and it doesn't show up. Bring up the Task Manager with Ctrl+Alt+Del and see if there are multiple Firefoxes open. If there are, close them all and start it again and it should open with your default profile.
