LosMediasBlancas
...especially the part about using up all your fouls when a guy is lighting you up for 81.
Jordan4life_2007
Jordan was way too kind when breaking down the Knicks. And Kobe wouldn't break 20 with MJ guarding him. Fouls or no fouls. Edited February 8, 2006 by Jordan4life_2006

MurcieOne
there might be a million stories out there on how MJ was a dick and this and that... but the man is intellegent and still the best player to ever play the game. Joanie loves Chacie? no, no my friend Murcie Loves Michael
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) You are saying at this point jordan would still put twenty up on kobe bryant? I'm pretty sure he meant a prime Jordan. But even the old man could teach Kobe a few things if they ever went at it.

When you are that good of scorer no one really stops you. They may be contained for a quarter or two but they always end up getting their points when it is said and done. Yeah I think Kobe in his prime could drop 20 on Jordan in his prime. 30 would be very iffy and I would doubt 40.

It's impossible to gauge how much somebody would score against an individual player. Let's just say that a prime Michael Jordan would kick Kobe's booty. Flash Tizzle
I'm glad Jordon voiced his opinion and said what many here have said since Kobe's game. You just don't score 81 without a complete lack of determination from the other team. I've seen the Kobe game since the initial night, and honestly believe if Toronto played legitimate defense he wouldn't have elipsed mid 60's. Which is still a hell of a feat in it's own right. Even if Kobe had to shot freethrows every possession and obtain 80 points that way, if you have any pride, you don't associate yourself as the team which allowed this to happen without a fight. I've seen the game since that night as well. And lmao@those who claimed the Raptors were doubling and tripling Kobe. The Raps offered no resistance whatsoever. They rarely doubled, let alone tripled, trapped, rotated or got physical at all. Kobe had atleast 6 unconsted layups or dunks. He rarely had a hand in his face whenever he shot from the perimiter. The Raptors bigs would simply throw their arms up in the air like idiots whenever Kobe drove to the basket. It was basically a clinic on not how to play defense. They're defintely not the second worst defensive team in the league by accident.
