Texsox
If you were putting together a one hour beach mix, what would be on it? All genres. Must be PG-13 rated, so Parrotheads I don't care that you have a water bed filled up for me and you, we will not get drunk and screw

FlaSoxxJim
The last song on the disc should be Pale and Precious by the Dukes of Stratosphere (aka xtc.). It's the ultimate homage to Good Vibrations, but it doesn't let the cat out of the bag all at once. Rather, it adds layers of Wilson-esque "Pet Soinds" textures with successive verses until it hits you smack in the face in the outro instrumental, cheezy Moog monosynth and all. Definately a tune worth seeking out. I'll rip it from the disc and throw it your way if you can't come up with it.

Texsox
QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 03:14 PM) Rock -- agreed -- any and all Marley. Klaus -- agreed -- any Dick Dale. The Robert Gordon version of "Summertime Blues". Sorry Tex, but I gotta go with a bunch of Buffett. I will do a bunch of Buffet, but that one will not be included. Changes in Latitudes is perhaps my favorite beach tune. Beach Boys Boys of Summer? I think I can do the old guy stuff, it's finding stuff for the 14-30 crowd that worries me.
